HIGH-LEVEL CONFERENCE: CENTRAL BANKS AND CENTRAL BANKING IN A HIGHLY COMPLEX WORLD: DEMONSTRATING COMMITMENT AND PRESERVING CREDIBILITY
The National Bank continues the long-time tradition to organize a high-level conference, attended by representatives of macroeconomic policy makers, international institutions and eminent researchers from the economic area, who, through discussions on current topics, contribute to the further economic development and prosperity, offering new ideas, visions and policies.
At the Conference organized in collaboration with the Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee (RBWC), the discussions will be aimed at the challenges for maintaining the independence and credibility in the operations of central banks, amid simultaneous strengthening of the capacities for carrying out the new tasks that central banks get in the past decade. Moreover, the emphasis will be placed on the lessons learned from the recent crisis episodes and the medium-term challenges for central banks.
The Conference will be held on 1 October 2024, in Skopje.
Also this year, important and inspiring guests are expected at the Conference, such as governors of central banks from the SEE region, but also from other European countries, senior representatives of EU institutions, international financial institutions and eminent professors.
