Today, the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia Council held its eleventh session, at which the Quarterly Report for the third quarter was discussed. After the increase in the policy rate by 0.75 percentage points in the second quarter and undertaken additional monetary measures, during the third quarter of 2016, the National Bank made no changes in the monetary policy.

The Economic Chamber of Macedonia and the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of promoting financial education.

Monetary developments in the Republic of Macedonia: September, 2016

Today, at the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, in the presence of the Governor of the NBRM, Mr Dimitar Bogov and the executive officer of the Association of microfinance organizations, Mr Goran Lazarevski, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in the field of financial education and inclusion.

The National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia issued and put into circulation the collector coins "Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker" (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 170/16).

Monetary developments in the Republic of Macedonia: August, 2016

On 15 September 2016, the National Bank held the 22nd session of the Researchers Club, at which papers titled “FDI influence by sectors on the economic growth in Central, East and Southeastern Europe” by Mite Mitevski and Dijana Janevska-Stefanova as authors, and “Macedonian Policy Analysis Model (MAKPAM)” by Tibor Hledik, Sultanija Bojceva-Terzijan, Biljana Jovanovic and Rilind Kabashi were presented

The National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia issued and put into circulation the collector coins "Year of the Rooster – Rooster with an Angel" and "Year of the Rooster – Rooster Wind Spinner" (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 141/16).

Significant developments in the balance of payments  in June 2016

In order to promote the communication with users of statistical data, we kindly inform the public that the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia will start regularly publishing press releases on basic statistical data, the publication of which is the responsibility of the National Bank. Press releases will contain a brief statistical data analysis and will be published simultaneously with the publication of the corresponding statistics data sets, according to the Advance Release Calendar.
