Skopje, 17 March 2021  

Today, an e-meeting of the European runners-up from the past two years was held, Marko Ingjilizov, Viktorija Panova and Hristijan Andovski, as well as the mentors of the award-winning students, with the teams of participants registered for the European Money Quiz for this year. The event was attended by about 460 children from the entire country, indicating the massiveness of this quiz and the great interest of young people in financial education. 

The runners-up and the mentors shared their experiences of the participation in the competitions from the past years and answered the questions from the students. In addition, the students got actively involved in filling in a questionnaire in the field of their knowledge and preparations for the competition. It is important that most students said that they have entered for this quiz because they learn new matters in the field of finance. 

The participants also became acquainted with the functionality of the electronic platform “Kahut” through which the national competition will be carried out on 24 March 2021, which was also used to perform a concrete exercise for the competition, as a preparation for the national competition. 

Our country is for the third time part of this important project, organized by the Macedonian Banking Association, in cooperation with the National Bank and the Securities and Exchange Commission and with the support of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education and Science.

A total of 174 classes entered for the national competition, i.e. classes with over 400 students from 72 schools from the entire country. The national winners will represent our country at the European final on 20 April 2021.
