Today, the Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, Anita Angelovska Bezhoska will participate in the public presentation of the Fall-2018 Regional Economic Outlook for Europe of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark. Through individual presentations, the Governor Angelovska Bezhoska and the Governor of Central Bank of Denmark, Per Callesen, will present their views and assessments for certain areas covered by the Outlook, which will be primarily discussed, with the focus on the main findings and perceptions, by the Director of the European Department at the IMF, Poul Thomsen.
The IMF regularly presents the Regional Economic Outlook for Europe, published semi-annually, before the world public at an event of such a format, while this fall, for the first time, a Governor of the NBRM was invited as one of the three speakers.
The IMF Outlook presents the latest economic developments and perspectives for the countries from different regions in Europe, addressing economic policies that affect the economic conditions. Among other things, it contains a study about the main challenges that make up the economic and political factors in Europe. Simultaneously, the Outlook presents specific data and analyses about European countries, as well as analytical texts on issues which are of special interest for some of the countries.
The Governor of the NBRM, Angelovska Bezhoska will use the opportunity of this significant IMF event to have bilateral meeting with the governors of the Central Bank of Denmark, Lars Rohde, and Per Callesen.
