On 18 December 2017, the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia and other regulators of the financial system, in cooperation with the European Fund for Southeast Europe - EFSE, organized a third consecutive workshop for journalists from the economic departments.
On 18 December 2017, the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia and other regulators of the financial system, in cooperation with the European Fund for Southeast Europe - EFSE, organized a third consecutive workshop for journalists from the economic departments of the Macedonian print, television and electronic media. The topic of this year's workshop is "Clear Reading and Interpretation of the Reports of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia and Other Regulatory Institutions”.

The aim of the workshop is to raise the level of financial literacy among the population in Macedonia, besides other activities, and through the cooperation with journalists from the economic departments that inform the public of the latest developments in the economy. This workshop gave an opportunity to the journalists to exchange views with the experts from the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia and other financial sector regulators on different topics. The workshop discussed issues related to the monetary policy in the National Bank’s reports (annual, quarterly, monthly information), the monetary instruments, domestic financial markets and foreign reserves management in the National Bank’s reports (annual and periodic information), the payment systems in the National Bank’s reports, the Report on the risks in the banking system of the Republic of Macedonia, the Financial Stability Report for the Republic of Macedonia, as well as the reports of other regulatory institutions: the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Macedonia; the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of Macedonia; the Insurance Supervision Agency and the Agency for Supervision of Fully Funded Pension Insurance presented through the following topics: Execution of the Budget of the Republic of Macedonia, Public Debt Data, Financial Reporting on the Securities Market, and Pension Savings Report.
