By holding regular training courses and other financial education activities and increasing the population's awareness of its importance, the National Bank contributes towards raising the level of financial literacy in the country. Last year, the process of financial education involved 1,644 individuals - primary and secondary education pupils, students, children of preschool age, pupils with special needs, professors, teachers, as well as retired people. The National Bank strives for the educational activities to include the needs of the population and trends in finance, so as a result, two educational booklets were published last year: "The payment account with basic functions" and "Security when using digital financial products and services". This year, the National Bank's financial education team continues the ambitious program, with lectures to around 200 listeners during the Global Money Week alone being held.

Since 2013, the National Bank has been continuously contributing towards improving the financial literacy in the country. During this period, a large number of educational materials were produced and 528 individual lectures for primary and secondary education were held, in addition to 44 individual lectures at the faculties, attended by about 22,000 people. A large number of events and public performances have been organized to increase the awareness of the importance of the population financial literacy for better economic progress. In 2022, financial literacy was included in the strategic goals of the National Bank, and in 2021, the first national strategy for financial education and financial inclusion was adopted. Commercial banks, as well as the civil sector, also increase their educational activities from year to year, which is in support of the adopted strategy.
