The fifth edition of the Financial Literacy Days will be held next week

Next week, from 1 to 3 December, the fifth edition of the Financial Literacy Days will be held, organized by financial regulatory institutions in cooperation with private financial companies. Specifically, the organizers include the National Bank, the Ministry of Finance, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Agency for Supervision of Fully Funded Pension Insurance - MAPAS and the Insurance Supervision Agency, and the private financial sector is also expected to take part.

Due to the conditions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, also this year, the Financial Literacy Days will be organized mainly as educational lectures via video-conference link, which will also enable the involvement of a larger number of interested citizens. All the institutions that participate in this year’s edition, through their web sites and through the sites of social networks, will inform the citizens of the activities and e-events that are planned, informing also of the manner of registration of any interested citizen.

Financial regulatory institutions invite citizens to follow the information on the planned activities and to get actively involved in this year's edition of the Financial Literacy Days. The purpose of this action is to strengthen financial education, to foster financial inclusion and to increase the awareness and protection of consumers of financial services.

During this year, adjusted to the conditions of the “new normality”, the financial regulatory institutions implemented a large part of the planned activities in the field of financial education and financial inclusion. Such activities are expected to additionally strengthen for the coming period, taking into consideration the implementation of the first National Strategy for Financial Education and Financial Inclusion, which was adopted in July this year by the financial regulators.
