The National Bank and the Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination signed a Memorandum of Cooperation that enables exchange of experiences and knowledge, good practices, as well as expert consultation on issues of interest.
This Memorandum promotes equality and non-discrimination, strengthens institutional capacities and mutual support, and encourages joint initiatives in the area of equality and non-discrimination. It is important for both institutions, given that direct and open cooperation tends to advance the implementation of principles of equality and non-discrimination. For this purpose, trainings will be arranged for issues related to discriminatory practices and trends, aimed to build up employee capacities and prevent discrimination.
The National Bank Governor, Anita Angelovska Bezhoska, emphasized that the institutionalization of the cooperation with the Commission is yet another indicator that the Bank is committed to practicing healthy and ethical institutional culture, with equal opportunities for all. The President of the Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination, Ismail Kamberi, pointed out that the National Bank is an excellent example of an institution in the country that supports equality and fights against discrimination.
Strengthening cooperation with the Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination is an activity of the National Bank aimed to support the application of principles of the Law on Prevention and Protection against Discrimination, by maintaining high ethical standards and applying a high level of professional and impartial behavior in the pursue of goals and objectives.
