The financial education team of the National Bank also in the first half of 2022 worked on improving the financial literacy of the population, through educational presentations, preparation of educational materials and organization of competitions. From the beginning of the year, 32 lectures were delivered, which covered 1594 students and 88 teachers from the primary and secondary schools.
For greater involvement of the students from the rural areas, during Global Money Week, in March 2022, a caravan was organized which covered 8 schools, 443 students and 35 teachers from the rural areas. During the first half of 2022, a total of 15 lectures were delivered for the schools in the rural areas, accounting for 46.9% of the total lectures.
Otherwise, the last, 2021, there was a record number of participants at the National Bank financial education lectures, with a total of 102 lectures attended by 6,351 participants, including students and teachers in 70 different schools. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the lectures in Macedonian and in Albanian were delivered over the Internet.
