The National Bank informs citizens to be careful due to the frequent incidents of fake profiles, applications and individuals who, electronically or via telephone calls, present themselves as part of reputable companies offering some type of assistance, mediation, and even monetary rewards, while requesting personal data and payment of funds.
The National Bank appeals to citizens not to disclose personal data, nor to take actions at the request of unknown persons. If you have received or if in the following period you receive unexpected phone calls, e-mails or SMS from suspicious addresses or phone numbers in which you are offered something that does not seem real and truthful, or if you are asked to disclose personal data, do not initiate communication in which you will provide your personal data or respond to a request for a transaction/payment of your funds to a bank account.
If citizens receive a phone call or message via another means of communication (email or social networks) from a person they suspect is falsely representing themselves on behalf of the National Bank, they should immediately report the case to the National Bank via the official email address: opstiinfo@nbrm.mk.
