The National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia together with the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), and supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO), will organize the First ECA Regional Forum on Financial Inclusion Policy
The National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia together with the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), and supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO), will organize the First ECA Regional Forum on Financial Inclusion Policy, which will take place in Aleksandar Palace Hotel in Skopje from 26 to 28 October 2015.
The program is envisioned as a three-day event focused on financial inclusion. The event shall be attended by high representatives from the Eastern European and Central Asian central banks and aimed on reaching agreement on the operational framework that will strengthen the future cooperation of these countries in the area of financial inclusion. The Forum shall also focus on development of consumer protection policies, as well as on financing of small and medium-size enterprises. There will also be sessions on related policy areas, such as digital financial services and creation of database and financial inclusion indicators.
The National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, an AFI member, has demonstrated strong leadership in promoting financial literacy at national level and shows strong interest in helping to lead a regional peer-learning effort together with other AFI members.
