Depending on exact offered intentions for operating business and/or exact offered service to potential clients, additional authorizations or registrations may be needed. An assessment of the required authorization or registrations for an intended business must always be carried out on a case-by-case basis. The National Bank has established the Innovation Gateway as a communication channel with all companies that want to pursue innovative business activities in the financial sector, for which it has formal power as a competent licensing or supervision authority. We expect the Innovation Gateway to serve as a platform between innovation community (fintech sector), the National Bank and other relevant authorities, providing dialogue among parties for the relevant aspects of their competences. However, we can only facilitate collaboration, while we are not in a position to change the existing regulation related with topics of mutual concern, neither to influence the views of other competent authorities.
