Museum of the National Bank  is responsible for enlarging, studying, protecting and presenting the National Bank Numismatic Collection. Through its exhibits and publishing activities, it also acts in the field of education, raising the public awareness on the importance of the Macedonian cultural heritage. 

The beginnings of the Museum date back to 1999, when the National Bank, among its main functions, included the purchase of old and rare coins from the Macedonian soil. During its existence, the Collection has been enriched constantly, so today with around 22 000 samples, it is the largest public numismatic collection in the state.
