The annual Vienna Initiative Forum was opened by the Governor of the National Bank, Anita Angelovska Bezhoska with an introductory speech and by the Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Boris Vujčić with an introductory speech.
The first panel session, titled Monetary and Fiscal Policy in a High Inflation World, in addition to Angelovska Bezhoska and Vujčić, was also attended by the Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia, Peter Kažimír, the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, Radoje Žugić, the Minister of Finance, Fatmir Besimi and the Vice-President of the European Investment Bank, Lilyana Pavlova.

At the third session within the annual Vienna Initiative Forum, titled Stock-Taking of the Economic Situation in the CESEE, Helge Berger, Assistant Director at the IMF, gave a presentation on the forecasts for the region, followed by the presentations of Laura Valderrama from the IMF, Matteo Ferrazzi from the EIB and Dejan Vasiljev from the EBRD.

At the fourth session within the annual Vienna Initiative Forum, titled Banking Sector Outlook: More Challenges Ahead?, chaired by Francis Malige, Managing Director in the EBRD, Patrick Amis, Director General in the Directorate General Specialised Institutions and LSIs at the European Central Bank, gave a presentation, while the panel discussion, attended by regulators and market participants, was addressed by Octavian Armașu, Governor of Moldova, Csaba Bálint, Board member of the National Bank of Romania, Tina Žumer, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Slovenia and Csaba Kandrács, Deputy Governor of the Hungarian National Bank, referring to market expectations.

At the fifth session within the annual Vienna Initiative Forum, titled Asset Quality and Early Signs of Deterioration, chaired by Mario Guadamillas, Practice Manager in the World Bank, Vahe Vardanyan, FinSAC Coordinator at the World Bank, as well as Debora Revoltella, Chief Economist of the EIB and Laura Valderrama from the IMF, discussed non-performing loans, while the panel discussion was attended by Catalina Porojan, from the Raiffeisen Bank and Marta Mueller, from the IFC, discussing market expectations.

At the sixth session within the annual Vienna Initiative Forum, titled Green Transition, chaired by Debora Revoltella, Chief Economist of the EIB, the VI Working Group on Climate Change gave an update on climate change and financial stability, followed by a speech delivered by Patrick Amis, Director General in the Directorate General Specialised Institutions and LSIs at the European Central Bank.
The panel discussion about green finance, in addition to Amis, was also addressed by Elina Kamenitzer from the EIB, Csaba Kandrács, Deputy Governor of the Hungarian National Bank, Manuela Florentina Hurmuz from the Raiffeisen Bank and Metodija Bogevski, Energy Manager in Vitaminka.

Within the session, at the panel discussion titled Financial services digitalisation and stability in light of recent events, Lukas Jakubonis, Head of Financial Market Development in the Bank of Lithuania, Viktorija Gligorova, General Director of the Supervision Sector of the National Bank, Charlotte Ruhe, EBRD’s Managing Director for Central and South Eastern Europe and Francis Malige, Managing Director, Financial Institutions for the EBRD, debated.
