The National Bank conducted two separate surveys to measure the satisfaction of users and providers of statistical data. The surveys are part of the continuous activities for advancing the process of collecting data, improving their quality, and the manner of presentation and availability to the public.
The results show an even higher level of satisfaction from the quality of statistical data, their availability and timeliness, as well as from the communication and the support provided by the National Bank. Compared to the surveys conducted in 2021 and 2013, almost all evaluated segments improved, with the average grades ranging from 3.8 to 4.6 (on the scale of 1 to 5).
Users express a high level of satisfaction from the statistical web portal NBStat, the regular statistical announcements and the availability of statistical information. The satisfaction from the quality of statistical data, whose average grade reached 4.2, has increased in particular. Positive evaluations were also provided by reporters, who gave high grades for the processes for dissemination of statistical data, the simplicity of the applications and forms, as well as the professional cooperation with the employees in the Statistics Department. Also, in both groups of respondents, the communication with the employees has been singled out as the segment with the highest grades, with an average grade of 4.5, whereby a continuous improvement in relation to the results from the previous surveys was registered.
The Survey also points to the possibilities for further improvement of statistical services, primarily by providing clearer methodological explanations, simplification of the statistical terminology, regular trainings and workshops and further digitalization of processes. The regular dialogue with the users and reporters remains the main mechanism for improvement of the quality of official statistics, transparency and confidence in statistical data.
The Survey included approximately eight hundred respondents, including individuals, business entities, banks and savings houses, other financial institutions, public administration institutions, students, scientists, media, international and non-governmental organizations.
