The Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code is being rolled out in about 30 countries, including ours, to expand the amount of financing available to women-led enterprises through joint activities. Its implementation requires the involvement of as many stakeholders as possible - regulators, financial service providers and other partners, who will work together in several areas: leadership, data and action.
Leadership
The National Bank is the leader and coordinator of the Code activities in our country. In May 2025, the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code was announced at an official event, together with the first signatories. In the second half of 2025, the signatories of the National Coalition – state institutions, financial entities and civil society associations –held the initial meetings.
Data
By cross-referencing the Central Registry data with the National Bank Credit Registry data, for the first time in our country, the National Bank has provided data on access to credit for micro, small, medium and large dominantly women-owned enterprises, as of end-March 2025. In cooperation with the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (FSFM), the data has been prepared in a format that provides insight into various aspects of access to finance for dominantly women-owned enterprises.
