The National Bank reminds the young researchers that the Competition for the Annual Award for 2022 for the best paper in the field of macroeconomics and banking has been announced. The competition, which has been organized for the past 15 years, aims to encourage scientific thinking and to affirm young researchers.
Citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia up to the age of 35 have the right to participate in the Competition, except for the National Bank employees and Council members.
The paper must contain a review of the Macedonian economy on the relevant topic and it is recommended to have a standard research structure. An author has the right to submit only one paper in Macedonian, Albanian or English.
Authors have the right to apply for the Competition with papers that have already been published (not before 1 January 2020). The papers should be submitted by 1 February 2022.
The annual award of the National Bank for the first ranked paper is Denar 100,000, net. If the second-ranked paper is of a similar quality as the first-ranked one, the National Bank may award a second prize, in the amount of Denar 50,000, net. Besides, the awarded paper will be presented to the professional community at an event organized by the National Bank and published on the National Bank website. Over the past few years, the awarded papers were presented at a session of the National Bank Research Club.
Over the years, the National Bank Annual Award Competition has generated a number of high quality analyzes and acted as a research hub for young researchers in the field of economics and finance.
