The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group Consituency headed by the Netherlands and Belgium, will meet on 21-23 June in Skopje. The meeting will be hosted jointly by the National Bank and the Ministry of Finance.
The Dutch-Belgian Constituency, besides the Netherlands, Belgium and our country that hosts this important international event this year, also includes Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Israel, Luxembourg, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine and Montenegro.
High representatives of the IMF and the WB Group will meet in Skopje, including Cyril Miller, World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, and Anthony De Lannoy and Koen Davidse, executive directors of the IMF and the WB, who are in charge of this constituency, as well as central bank governors and finance ministers of the member countries.
The Constituency meetings are a forum where high representatives of the fiscal and monetary policy institutions in the member countries exchange opinions and discuss the IMF and the WB policies and programs, as well as other key issues for the European and the world economy. The discussions are interactive among all participants in the event, and bilateral, between the representatives of the two international institutions and the member countries. The Constituency Meeting is an opportunity for a better introduction of the economy and culture of the host country to the high representatives of central banks and finance ministries.
This year, our country has had the honor to host the Constituency Meeting again since 2003, when our central bank and ministry of finance hosted this important event for the first time.
