Today, the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia Council held its third session, at which the Annual Report for 2016 was adopted, concluding that in 2016 the National Bank successfully achieved its legally defined objectives.

Today we mark the 25 anniversary of monetary independence of the Republic of Macedonia. The adoption of the legal acts on 26 April 1992 in the Macedonian Parliament was a prerequisite for development and implementation of an independent policy by the Central Bank as the monetary authority of a sovereign and independent Republic of Macedonia. The monetary independence took place shortly after the historic independence referendum.

In honor of the 25th jubilee of the monetary independence of the Republic of Macedonia, the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, in cooperation with the National Museum of Slovenia, will host the visiting exhibition Gold Dust of the Ljubljana artists Biljana Unkovska Spanzel, Rudolf Spanzel and Dorian Spanzel. This exhibition will be placed in the gallery of NLB Banka AD Skopje, and will be opened on 25 April (Tuesday) 2017, at 19 p.m..
